Webinar: Insights on hosting volunteer income tax clinics
11 October 2016
On November 2, 2016 from 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM (EDT), experts will share their knowledge and practices on what it takes to host volunteer income tax clinics. If you’re considering hosting a volunteer income tax clinic this tax season or just want to know what it takes to run one, join Nancy McKenna, CVITP / CRA, Lay Lee Lo and Irene Chan, Agincourt Community Services Association (ACSA), Ontario, Luc Stone, E4C, Alberta, and Althea Arsenault, Economic and Social Inclusion Corporation (ESIC), New Brunswick to learn how it’s working for them.
For Canadians living with low incomes, tax filing is an important opportunity to boost incomes by accessing a wide range of government benefits. Community tax clinics such as those supported by the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) offer free tax filing during tax season for Canadians with low incomes and simple tax situations, who otherwise might not be able to find or afford tax filing support. For more information on CVITP visit
www.cra-arc.gc.ca/volunteer.
We will be live tweeting during the webinar using the hashtags #taxfiling and #CVITP.
