National Strategy for Financial Literacy – Count me in, Canada launched

16 June 2015
Last week, Jane Rooney, Canada’s National Financial Literacy Leader launched the National Strategy for Financial Literacy – Count me in, Canada. The strategy was released in Toronto at an event attended by 78 financial literacy leaders who celebrated Canada’s first national strategy for financial literacy.

The strategy is a call to action for all Canadians to gain the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to make financial decisions and improve their financial well-being. Designed to mobilize and align the efforts of the hundreds of public, private and non-profit organizations across Canada that currently support and deliver financial literacy programs and initiatives, the strategy calls on Canadians to:

  • manage money and debt wisely
  • plan and save for the future and
  • prevent and protect against fraud and financial abuse.
Read the strategy and help spread the word!
