National Strategy for Financial Literacy – Count me in, Canada launched
16 June 2015
Last week, Jane Rooney, Canada’s National Financial Literacy Leader launched the
National Strategy for Financial Literacy – Count me in, Canada
. The strategy was released in Toronto at an event attended by 78 financial literacy leaders who celebrated Canada’s first national strategy for financial literacy.
The strategy is a call to action for all Canadians to gain the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to make financial decisions and improve their financial well-being. Designed to mobilize and align the efforts of the hundreds of public, private and non-profit organizations across Canada that currently support and deliver financial literacy programs and initiatives, the strategy calls on Canadians to:
manage money and debt wisely
plan and save for the future and
prevent and protect against fraud and financial abuse.
Read the strategy and help spread the word!
