Joint Community and Labour Statement on Employment Insurance (EI) Reform

Prosper Canada is a proud signatory of the Joint Community and Labour Statement on Employment Insurance (EI) Reform. The letter was sent out to Prime Minister Trudeau and Ministers Freeland, Qualtrough and Gould to request their immediate action and bring attention to community and labour priorities and restore the role of Canada’s EI system as an economic stabilizer. We, along with 119 organizations, request that the ministers extend temporary EI measures, expand access, improve benefits, and restore annual contributions to EI so that Canada’s EI system works for all workers.
