Help us make it easier to access government benefits

13 March 2017
Call for participants

We want to know about your experience with accessing government benefits.

If you live in Toronto, are over the age of 18, and sometimes struggle to cover your expenses, you may be eligible to participate in a study to help us make it easier for people to access government benefits.

Prosper Canada is working to better understand the experiences of people as they try to access income and government benefits (like Ontario Works, Ontario Disability Savings Program, or others). We also want to learn how an online benefits screening tool we have developed can make it easier for people to access benefits.

Between March and July 2017, Prosper Canada will conduct two one-hour interviews with Torontonians. We want to understand the barriers, challenges and opportunities you encounter as you apply for benefits.

The interviews will:
  • Be conducted with a member of the Prosper Canada research team;
  • Take place in person at a location convenient to you;
  • Last between 30-60 minutes each.
Participants will receive up to $100 for participating in two interviews, and transportation fares will be reimbursed.

The data from the interviews will be used to learn more about how people access benefits and to inform our Benefits Screening Tool project.

This study is funded by Maytree.
