Government of Canada helps empower Canadians to build their financial health

- The Honourable Jean-Yves Duclos, Minister of Families, Children and Social Development, today announced more than $5.3 million in funding to Prosper Canada for its Financial Empowerment Champions project for vulnerable Canadians. Funded through the Children and Families component of the Social Development and Partnerships Program (SDPP), the project sets out to help more than one million vulnerable Canadians over the next four and a half years by developing the partnerships, tools and community supports they need to build their financial capability and health.

- Le ministre de la Famille, des Enfants et du Développement social du Canada, l’honorable Jean-Yves Duclos, a annoncé aujourd’hui l’octroi d’un financement de plus de 5,3 millions de dollars à Prospérité Canada pour son projet des champions de l’autonomie financière à l’intention des Canadiens vulnérables. Le financement s’inscrit dans le cadre de la composante « Enfants et familles » du Programme de partenariats pour le développement social (PPDS). Le projet vise à aider plus d’un million de Canadiens vulnérables au cours des quatre prochaines années et demie en établissant des partenariats et en élaborant les outils et le soutien communautaire dont ils ont besoin pour améliorer leur capacité et leur santé financières.
