Webinar: Indigenous Financial Wellness in Canada
28 April 2017
Join us on
June 19, 1:00-2:30 p.m. (EDT)
for a webinar with Elizabeth Mulholland, CEO, Prosper Canada and Simon Brascoupé, Vice President, Education and Training, AFOA Canada as they discuss Indigenous Financial Wellness.
Financial wellness is understood by Indigenous peoples as the continuous process of balancing income, saving, investing and spending to achieve one’s life goals (physical, emotional, mental and spiritual) over the life cycle, and to maintain a state of wellness for individuals, family and community.
This webinar will introduce participants to an Indigenous financial wellness framework, review some of the key barriers and opportunities for building financial wellness in Indigenous communities, and highlight evidence-based best practices for building financial wellness. It will focus, in particular, on promising practices and considerations for the implementation and delivery of community financial wellness services.
This webinar is useful for anyone delivering or planning community financial empowerment supports for Indigenous peoples.
