Collaboration is the theme for Financial Literacy Month 2014
3 November 2014
November is Financial Literacy Month (FLM) and an opportunity to build awareness of the importance of financial literacy. This year’s theme is Strengthening Financial Literacy through Collaboration which underscores the importance of organizations from all sectors working together to offer programs, resources, and services that help Canadians understand and better manage their finances.
There are lots of ways community organizations can get involved in FLM 2014 including joining the conversation on social media (#FLM2014), writing a newsletter article on a money matter, or hosting an event. This year the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada (FCAC) is supporting FLM with a
photo contest
. Organizations are also being invited to showcase resources on the
FCAC financial literacy database
. If you’re hosting an event for Financial Literacy Month, please post it on the
FLM Calendar of events
.
We have exciting news to share on November 12th! Be sure to visit our website and follow our Twitter feed @prospercan to stay informed.
