2022 Federal Budget Highlights

On April 7, the federal government released its 2022 budget,
A Plan to Grow Our Economy and Make Life More Affordable
, which marks a return toward pre-pandemic spending.
We have highlighted some features of this budget that impact Canadians living with low income. We focused on measures benefitting low- and moderate-income Canadians, notably significant investments in affordable housing and dental care, as well as on financial consumer protection, and new levies on financial institutions.
A huge thank you to all of our partners who advocated alongside Prosper Canada for a single, non-profit external complaint body for banking services, simplifying the process and creating a more level playing field for financial consumers.
