We have launched a fresh new website - A digital home designed for people and possibility

When financial empowerment work spans many organizations, priorities and communities, a clear way to connect people to that work is needed. Prosper Canada’s new website supports the broader financial empowerment ecosystem by making it easier for organizations and partners to find relevant initiatives, understand Prosper Canada’s role and identify ways to engage in lasting financial change across Canada.

The new website also clearly defines Prosper Canada’s role in the financial empowerment space: a national charity that helps partners, practitioners, funders, and policymakers understand, engage with, and advance this work.

Making Prosper Canada’s role clear

With more intuitive navigation to program areas, financial empowerment projects, and opportunities to engage or partner, the new website gives visitors a better understanding of what Prosper Canada is, what we are working on, and where they might fit into our work. That matters in a field where collaboration, shared learning, and systems-level change are essential.

Why this matters for Canadians living with low incomes

Across Canada, the need is real. More low-income households are facing financial hardship, with housing, food, and other essentials becoming harder to afford. Prosper Canada’s work is built around supporting organizations that help people file taxes, access benefits, reduce stress, and build more stability.

And the impact is already significant. From 2023–24, Prosper Canada and our partners helped 395,636 Canadians access financial supports and unlock $206 million in new income. That is money people can use for rent, groceries, debt, and breathing room.

Why this matters for community organizations and frontline teams

The new website is also clearly built for the organizations doing the hands-on work. Community groups, service providers, and frontline teams can find a dedicated resources section, our Learning Hub, and a page for online tools that provide practical support for day-to-day service delivery.

Many people do not get financial help from a bank or a financial institution. They get help from local organizations they already trust. Prosper Canada’s site supports those organizations with practical tools, training resources, and program materials they can use directly with clients.

The site also reflects the scale of this work. Through Resilient Futures, Prosper Canada is investing in 97 community organizations across every province and territory to expand tax filing, benefits help, coaching, counselling, and financial education. The website helps connect national work to local action.

Where to start

Resources: for reports, tools, and learning materials

Online tools: for direct-use platforms like Benefits Wayfinder

Learning Hub: for practitioners, funders, policy-makers, and advocates

Approach/Resilient Futures: for people who want to understand the bigger picture and partner network.

Making room for culturally grounded support

The website also highlights resources built with communities. One strong example is Braiding Mind, Body and Spirit: A Financial Wellness Bundle, which is created by and for Indigenous individuals and communities, with Indigenous teachings, community voices, and practical tools. Good financial support needs to fit people’s real lives, values, and communities.

A stronger foundation

By helping partners, practitioners, funders and other stakeholders quickly understand where Prosper Canada is focused and how to connect, it supports the kind of coordination that lasting financial change depends on. In a space shaped by collaboration, shared learning and systems-level progress, that clarity is essential: It helps move the work forward.
