2018 ABLE Financial Empowerment Conference

The ABLE Financial Empowerment Conference is a national biennial conference for all stakeholders interested in fostering financial empowerment for people who live on low incomes. On May 8th and 9th, 2018, 300+ participants from across Canada will gather for two days where they will hear from leading experts from the financial empowerment field.
 
Participants will engage in interactive workshops, learning sessions, panel discussions and networking opportunities. A pre-conference day will also be open to a limited number of financial empowerment practitioners to explore key topics in an in-depth and informal setting on the afternoon of Monday, May 7, 2018.
 
The 2018 ABLE Financial Empowerment conference is hosted by the ABLE Steering Committee through the support of Prosper Canada and Family Services of Greater Vancouver.
 
This year’s theme is, Financial well-being for all.
 
Hear from dynamic keynote speakers including:
 
  • The Honourable Jean-Yves Duclos, Minister of Families, Children and Social Development
  • Dr. Rachel Schneider, Senior Vice President at Center for Financial Services Innovation and co-author of The Financial Diaries: How American Families Cope in a World of Uncertainty
  • Sheila Regehr, Chairperson of the Basic Income Canada Network

$350 – Early bird ticket price (Deadline: January 3, 2018)
$450 – Regular ticket price (January 4 – April 30, 2018)
 
Note: Registration fee includes attendance at pre-conference workshops on Monday, May 7, 2018, for participants attending those sessions. Book early for Pre-conference sessions as space is limited.
