Financial Empowerment in Canada: Why it matters and what it looks like

Last month, Vibrant Communities Canada (VCC) launched the Exploring Poverty Reduction Game Changers series. The series provided insight into their Game Changer approach to poverty reduction and evaluation, and highlighted eight priority areas and strategies that elicit an array of positive, significant, and cascading outcomes towards reducing poverty. Financial Empowerment was one of the Game Changers highlighted.

Alison is the Manager of Learning, Evaluation and Policy with Tamarack Institute. She has been involved with Vibrant Communities Canada’s Cities Reducing Poverty network since 2012. Glenna is a Curriculum & Content Officer at Prosper Canada. She supports content development for its program partnerships and training curriculum.
